hey doug! a few snapshots from today so you know the face behind the 'voice' but just to make it fun i've included all my buddies from wednesday group, well the ones that were there, missing anna, rae, belinda, linda..
Thanks Ang, great to see you and your buddies too! I just had to revisit the pirate shots. They crack me up, they were the first thing Blogger Matt and I came across when we found your blog and of course wondered what on earth was going on. Say Hi from England to everyone for me.
How do you fix the fibre inside the roof? That might solve my sand problem.
I'm having anoher lazy day today at home 'doing the housework'(drinking tea and messing around on the computer) instead of wood stacking - well it rained and I don't want to get wet, poor excuse really.
we have an annual bash usually end of november with a dinner and some kind of organised fun. 2007 pirate nite of course inspired by pirates of the caribean but we mixed it with classic pirate shanties and songs like 'the pirate king' that was johns number. we just like to dress up!
the fibre is held in place with 'buttons' (made from equal parts stoneware clay- fireclay-medium grog fired to stoneware c9) on nichrome wire i'll take some pics on saturday while we're putting the rest of the fibre in.
hi ron, thanks for visiting there will be more pics on kiln today, hopefully all of the fibre will be finished today & the 'new' burners fixed in place.
Hi great photos sorry i missed out,the kiln looks great. Won't be long now and it will be all systems go. It will be good to see the results from first firing, Anna
