Decal firings depend on the glaze ^ temp you fired. For example if you fired to ^6 you would want to decal fire laser toner decals to cone ^04 or 1070 degrees C.

If your work is ^10 - it might have to be fired even higher. Check out Linda Arbuckle's handout page - scroll down to the laser toner decal link for a really good and thorough explanation.

The images are really cool :Dcynthiahttp://coloradoartstudio.com/blognoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9213393195330423868.post-25564153494147666962009-06-30T13:26:55.706+09:302009-06-30T13:26:55.706+09:30Sounds like you have your thumb on the solution no...Sounds like you have your thumb on the solution now... you work looks really great!FetishGhosthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06139502682128929276noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9213393195330423868.post-68799703658719650552009-06-27T08:42:09.437+09:302009-06-27T08:42:09.437+09:30hey jim gotta use the best phrases around...

And yes, it needs to be from certain types of laser toner inks (I use an HP 4500 Laser jet) Like you noted, Cynthia has well-documented her process too. The good thing though is that since it looks like they wipe off so cleanly you could just do it again. What temp did you fire them to? I have heard that there are some printers that don't have enough iron in their ink to make good decals - maybe it's an iron issue? I've also heard that it's important to use a laser printer for that same reason (I guess the ink jets don't have any iron at all) I hope you can get to the bottom of this mystery - I think this work is really fun!Kiphttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04198144760231026824noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9213393195330423868.post-84417318095696287082009-06-26T17:45:05.030+09:302009-06-26T17:45:05.030+09:30Ciao ang, I am happy to have visited your blog, in...Ciao ang, I am happy to have visited your blog, interesting!.
