the knaves in the pink....

I don't think they're supposed to come out pink!!! you get the idea they're all pretty much the same...what do ya reckon fired too high?? or not enough iron in the toner?? I'd really like to keep the hand drawn look so i'll keep searching for the right transfer technique as this one's stalled at the mo... the other firings came out well so 2 out of 3 not bad..

  1. oh... so sorry about the pink, i have no experience with decals so i don't have any idea but it seems it would either have to be the toner of the temp too high.

  2. These will be wonderful once you have the toner figured out. I like the colors of the cup and bowl in the second photo, that orangy melon color contrasted against the green. I know nothing about decal transfers though.

  4. Hi Ang, I came across this blog post about decals, you might find something helpful in there or in some of the links.

  6. It could be the toner - HP inks seem to do really well - not sure about other brands. Did you check Justin Rothshank's website? He has a couple of printers listed. What is your glaze temp/cone?

Are these rubbing off like the previous ones? If so, not hot enough. If they're not, I'd say that it's the toner or too hot. I agree - the hand drawn quality is what I'm drawn to as well.
